Great show on Saturday (April 14, in case I do/do not decide to backpost this) to end my Easter holiday with a bang!
But first, HI I MET BEAU BOKAN that afternoon, and he will SEE YOU AT THE SLAM. He and TM Dave are nice dudes. I will shhhh on this and you have to wait for the PULP team to upload the video on Facebook.
The photo above is not a ~live~ one because I decided to break custom and not take photos the entire night. Auckland date would be “all play” besides remembering stuff to write about for the first time in a very long time because Sydney will be “all work” shooting each set. No regrets because I had a blast, and the lighting was not great at Kings Arms, though I love the venue second to Studio because FREE WATER!!
Shoot me, but I didn’t know A Plea For Purging were from USA. Either way, they were mean and thanks to them I can now cross stage diving off my bucket list. Wasn’t gonna do it at first, but they played Walk, and that is @walkonhomeboy’s (lol “my”) song so NIKEJUSTDOIT!
Always happy to see Saving Grace rip it up, since I was super pleased with their set when they played with AILD. Still consistent, and not being uber preachy is good.
Right up front for Blessthefall :D! Fun times #BTFPARTY #YOLO, hand holding, getting kicked in the head… Been waiting for this for a while, though seems like their set in 2008 was better (maybe because there was more Witness on it ha) even if performance-wise, they’ve definitely improved. Glad they played Hey Baby, Here’s That Song You Wanted since I didn’t hear it last time though, but AGAIN, no big speakers to jump off and see spectacular shit at this venue. Aw man.
Holy hell August Burns Red jawdropping WOW all the way. Serious business means I am seriously impressed. YAY for having played Your Little Suburbia is in Ruins and a drum solo and going 20 minutes overtime, it was absolutely great. Probably the best gig since PWD/TDWP/TGI at the Studio.
